Lodge Cast Iron Cookware Quick Guide

Step 1: Seasoned and ready to use

Lodge cast iron cookware is ready to use right out of the box. Just rinse it, dry it with a towel and start cooking!

Step 2: Preheat your cast iron pan!

To ensure an even temperature in your cookware, gradually preheat the cast iron cookware on a similarly sized burner. Since cast iron retains heat, it is not necessary to use a heat setting on the pan. These steps help prevent your food from sticking to the pan. Don't forget to use a glove to handle your cast iron pan!

Step 3: Add some oil!

Once your pan is preheated, add a little oil or fat. Then just add your food! (Note: if you want to use butter, start with oil, then add butter right before adding your food.)
